What is Aadhaar Card ??
• A number(12 Digits)
• For every individual, including infants
• Enables identification, and is for every resident
• Will collect demographic and biometric information to establish uniqueness of individual
• Voluntary
• For every resident, irrespective of existing documentation
• Each individual will be given a single unique ID number
• UIDAI will enable a universal identity infrastructure that any ID based application like ration card, passport etc. can use
• UIDAI will give a “Yes” or “No” response for any identification authentication queries
How to Get Aadhaar ??
Residents of India need to visit the nearest Enrollment Camp and need to fulfill some formalities (given below) in order to register for an Aadhaar.
Steps of Enrollment
1. Residents Provide Verifictaion Documents ( For Documents See below )
2. Capture Of Face Photograph in Enrollment Camp ( By Webcam )
3. IRIS Capture ( Eyes Captured in The System through Eye Scanner )
4. Finger Prints Capture ( Both hands )
5. Thumbprint Capture ( Both Thumbs )
6. Finger print Signing by the applicant ( Right Thumb )
7. System Generated copy of Acknowledgement

Adhaar Enrollment Centres in Hubli
In Hubli, four units would start functioning at Sawai Gandharva Hall for registration of the residents of Deshpande Nagar and Visveshwar Nagar.
Similarly, four units would be set up at Mini-Vidha Soudha in Dharwad to carry on the registration of the residents of Narayanpur and Bharati Nagar.
For the residents of Navanagar, the registration unit would be opened at Ambedkar Bhavan. Goin Ahead 200 Centers will be introduced for faster enrollment.
While the registration at Hubli and Dharwad would begin on 27.06.2011, it would start on 30.06.2011 in Navanagar. These units would function from 9 am to 6 pm. Registration would be done on first come first serve basis. Each machine at the unit has the capacity of registering 50-60 persons per day. Those who could not get the chance to register due to rush on particular day, would be issued coupons and given fresh dates.
